I've always wanted to be part of a book club, it NEVER crossed my mine to start one. Thinking back over the past year, I can honestly say this was the most amazing decision I've ever made. I met Kim via the grocery store. At some point I had started adding random customers to my Facebook account, it was nice to get to know them out side of their grocery purchases. Kim and I had started talking about books, and I recommended one of my favorite authors, Kristin Hannah. And that was where this all took off from.
Kim fell in love with the stories that Kristin Hannah wrote, and soon stumbled upon her website. Finding that she had guides for book clubs, and sometimes would call during book club meetings. That's when Kim came up with the most amazing idea... "Let's start a book club..."
I'll admit, I was nervous. I'm of the shy nature to begin with, but the idea of getting together with a group of ladies that I don't know and sharing something that I hold so dear to my heart, my deep love of books, had me a bit out of sorts. That first meeting went so well. Kim announced our first read, we visited and laughed and I felt myself relax... Here was the start of something good..
